The guest
The sun was shinning, the day was warm, bart walked slowly home from school, he was alone which was unsurprising as school was still in full flow. It was only ten thirty, bart was feeling unwell, very unwell, he groaned with each step. He had been in the middle of class when the wave of nausea had hit him, he didn’t know why, he hadn’t felt sick this morning, it was instant and it took him completely by surprise. Luckily Mrs Krabapple had been close and seen bart, the colour had left his face in an instant, it was like all his blood had suddenly vanished leaving a simple white empty shell, she had sent him to the nurse who after giving him a rest and a little medication sent him home.
As he neared his house he felt a lot better, he hadn’t been sick but the fresh air, the walk and probably the medication seemed to have helped, in fact he would say it had done the trick. With less than five minutes walking time before he reached home bart felt a lot better, more himself. Closer and closer to home, the smile normally associated with bart grew and grew and with home in sight he was back to normal, Lisa would have turned back and returned to school, not bart, the day was his. It was going to be stuck in the house as his friends were obviously back in school, but he was sure his video games were going to take a pounding, and the tv.
